Everlasting, Your light will shine when all else fades
Never ending, Your glory goes beyond all fame
And the cry of my heart is to bring You praise
The Second Law of Thermodynamics states that decay is universal; that a system will always end up with less energy and more disorder than it started with. The search for perpetual motion ignores this law in an attempt to get something for nothing, which is why scientists tend to ignore inventors who claim to have achieved perpetual motion. The universe is running downhill.
But here again I see room for the theta factor, for God to exist. I see Him as the Source that set the universe in motion, that pushes us to create civilization from barbarism. He is the Harmony that makes order out of chaos. He is the foundation of mathematical truth.
Order collapses into chaos, but for God.
Decay is universal, but for God.
All things die, but for God.
